It is with deepest regret that the Society has to announce that Michael Blagden passed away earlier this month. He had not enjoyed good health in recent years and, a few months ago, was diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Michael joined the Society in 2001 and enjoyed his photography, gaining his advanced worker status within the Society despite using modest photographic gear.
Both he and his wife Joy were good supporters of all our social events.
His funeral will be a private family affair. His obituary is published on the South Shields Gazette website where you can leave a message of condolence if you so wish.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Joy and the family, and a letter of sympathy and bereavement card has been sent on behalf of all the members of the Society.
